Pool Rules



  1. City of Santa Ana Swimming pool rules ®ulations are for your safe enjoyment of the pool and facility.

  2. All rules and requests made by life saving personnel must be always followed.

  3. An adult age 18 or over must accompany children 5 years and younger, one-on-one, always.

  4. An adult age 18 or over must always accompany children 6-9 years of age.

  5. All participants must show swimming ability prior to using the deep end or the diving boards.

  6. All children under the age of 4 must wear a water diaper.

  7. All participants must wear proper swim attire.


Prohibited Activities and Items



  1. Extreme or excessive breath-holding

  2. Horseplay

  3. Any type of flotation device (classification of a “flotation device” is at the discretion of life saving personnel)

  4. Toys, snorkels, and masks

  5. Spitting, spouting, or nose blowing.

  6. Persons under the influence of alcohol or narcotics

  7. Dangerous practices such as running on the deck, climbing, or sitting on fences, diving in shallow water, dunking, pushing, or pulling swimmers.

  8. Engaging lifesaving personnel in unnecessary conversation.

  9. Foul or abusive language

  10. Cloth or disposable diapers

  11. Smoking

  12. Glass containers

  13. Graffiti or other means of defacing city property

  14. Using the pool if hazardous conditions exist

  15. Alcohol

  16. Wearing a t-shirt inside the pool

  17. Urinating or defecating in the pool

  18. Pets, except for service animals


Covid-19 protocols



  1. Spectators are not allowed into the facility, only swimming pool patrons.

  2. You must have your proper swim attire on before entering the facility.

  3. Locker rooms, showers and drinking fountains are currently closed.

  4. Face masks must be worn while entering the facility and walking around common areas, face masks are not required while you are in the pool.

  5. Please stay at least 6-feet apart from other patrons not part of your household group.

  6. Please do not approach lifeguards, for any questions please ask the pool manager on site.

  7. Capacity is reduced; thus, availability is on a first come first served basis.

  8. Food or soft drinks are not allowed on the pool deck, please bring water with you to hydrate.
